Chests
Chests are awarded for a variety of in-game activities and come in several varieties, each with different contents and purposes. There are five types of chests:
Survival Chests
3-Star and 5-Star Victory Chests These contain cards for Traps, Guardians, Gear, and Trap Parts that will increase the power and variety for each orc-gibbing arsenal. Each battleground difficulty has a unique chest. For example, war mage difficulty provides war mage chests. Each higher chest tier adds new cards, grants more of each card, and contains an additional item.
- Apprentice chests provide 2 items.
- War Mage chests provide 3 items.
- Master chests provide 4 items.
- Rift Lord chests provide 5 items.
3-star and 5-star victory chests are earned the first time 3 or 5 stars are earned for each Survival battleground or Endless match.
Hero Victory Chests
These contain cards for Traps, Guardians, Gear, and Trap Parts that will increase the power and variety for each orc-gibbing arsenal just like the 3-star and 5-star victory chests. They provide Skulls and one fewer item (except Apprentice) per tier than 3-star and 5-star victory chests.
A hero victory chest is awarded the first time a battleground is defeated or wave 5 is surpassed in Endless with a new hero. Revisiting battlegrounds with a new hero is a great way to earn a wealth of chests!
Daily Logins Reward Chests
Once every 7 days, players are rewarded with a login chest corresponding to the highest unlocked difficulty tier. These Chests are identical to 3-star and 5-star victory chests.
Survival Chests in Store
Quest Reward Chests
Each player always has three available Quests. One of the three available quests is always for a chest corresponding to the highest unlocked difficulty tier. These Chests are identical to 3-star and 5-star victory chests.
Store Purchased Chests
Players may purchase Survival Chests through the in-game store. Players may purchase any tier of chest at any time, regardless of their in-game level. These chests are identical to 3-star and 5-star victory chests.
Consumable Chests
Consumable Chests for Sabotage can be purchased in the Store or can be earned periodically as Daily Login bonuses. They contain a selection of consumable cards for use in Sabotage game mode.
The primary method of obtaining Consumables cards for Sabotage mode is through playing Sabotage matches. Individual cards are awarded to players based on game performance; victories and longer games will provide a greater number of rewards.
Chaos Trials Chests
These contain Skulls and cards for Traps, Guardians, Gear, and Trap Parts that will increase the power and variety for each orc-gibbing arsenal. Each Chaos Trials difficulty has a unique chest. For example, war mage Chaos Trials provide war mage Chaos Trials Chests. Each higher difficulty adds new cards, grants more of each card, and contains an additional item. Each higher tier adds more Skulls to the reward of the chest.
- Apprentice Chaos Trials chests provide 25*tier skulls and 2 items.
- War Mage Chaos Trials chests provide 50*tier skulls and 3 items.
- Master Chaos Trials chests provide 75*tier skulls and 4 items.
- Rift Lord Chaos Trials chests provide 100*tier skulls and 5 items.
A Tier 8 Master Chaos Trials Chest provides 75*8 = 600 skulls and 4 items.
Chaos Trials Chests are earned by successfully completing tiers of the Chaos Trials Keys, one for each tier of every key.
Premium Shoppe Chests
Grand Vanity Chest
These contain Skulls and 2 draws of Traps or Trap Parts where both rewards are exclusively of rare or better quality. The Parts Chest contains 1000
and 2 rewards of Trap Parts. The Traps Chest contains 1000 and 2 rewards of Rare or Epic Traps. Chests cost Gibs, which are obtained from the surpluses of trap cards (drops after reaching Tier 7).
Vanity Chests
These contain cosmetic items such as hero Dyes or Skins that will let you slay orcs in style. The Grand Vanity Chest contains one skin and one dye for each hero, and the Starter Hero Vanity Chest contains two skins and one dye each for Maximilian, Gabriella, and Blackpaw. Each vanity chest provides one item. Additional vanity chests may be available on a limited or seasonal basis.
How To Claim Chests
Available chests can be viewed by opening the chest inventory. This small gift box icon appears in the bottom right corner of the interface next to the friend list when there are chests to be opened. They do not need to be opened immediately, but who can resist a box full of goodies?
