Maps
Maps are the scenarios where the different battlegrounds take place in Orcs Must Die! Unchained. All maps represent an assault of a Rift, most Maps are located in the world of Centre, others are from the Dark World. Most Rifts are surrounded by defensive constructions like Fortresses or castles which were built around them by the Order to protect the Rifts from the Orc Invasion. Faction indicates the current army that has possession of the Rift and therefore is defending the assault of the opposing army.
Each map can be played in different modes and with different settings. Each combination of mode and settings is a battleground. However, each map has a established Lore and Description that is persistent for all the battlegrounds of the map. Also other parameters like the position of the Rift, the trapable space, the position and number of Minion Portals or the Trap Cap (The amount of traps that can be placed, shared for all the team), don't change from battleground to battleground of a same Map.

Creepy Cliffside Clash | Order | 2 | Creepy Cliffside Clash is heavily populated by soldiers and other Order-trained minions. Orcri-La | Unchained | 4 | 85 | Survival, Chaos Trials, Sabotage | The orcs worshipping at Orcri-La have an odd tradition: they use boulder chutes to sacrifice unbelievers. Use the boulders to keep Order interlopers out and bring your own priest to guard the temple's rift! | |

Battlegrounds
Battlegrounds are the game levels of Orcs Must Die! Unchained. Battlegrounds are a set of parameters applied to a map that determine their game mode and difficulty.
Each Battleground has a unique set of values for the parameters listed below:
- Game Mode: Survival, Endless, Weekly Challenges, Sabotage or Chaos Trials
- Difficulty (Survival): Apprentice, War Mage, Master or Rift Lord
- Map: Map being played on
- Minions level: Base level of the enemies that appear in the battleground
- Waves: Number of Waves needed to complete the level
- Wave Compositions: Enemy composition of each wave that comes from each Minion Portal
- Par Time (except Endless): Time you need to beat the level in to acquire the 5th star in the battleground (and to calculate the score bonus multiplier)
- Faction: Main Faction of the assaulting enemy
